What are the forms of belt splicing machine? What are the causes of tape damage?

Belt splicing machine is a commonly used transportation equipment in production, tape is an important component, but also one of the more expensive parts, once the tape appears in various forms of damage, will affect the efficient operation of production.  This paper summarizes six kinds of common damage forms, and puts forward improvement suggestions according to different reasons for reference in production.


Several common forms of tape damage:

Normal wear of tape: wear during normal use;

Abnormal wear of tape: slip and wear off, deviation and edge wear, etc.

Tape longitudinal scratches: that is, the so-called belt;

Tape transverse breaking: tape transverse opening appears in the process of operation;

Adhesive tape interface fracture: tape mouth empty or open;

Tape layering: the glue is separated from the fabric.

The following reasons are analyzed in turn:

01. The reason for the normal wear and tear of the material belt

1) The head sweeper (scraper) is too tight, which causes great friction to the tape and makes the tape working surface wear too fast.

2) The pressure on the non-working surface of the belt caused by the sweeper in each empty section is too large, which causes the non-working surface of the belt to wear too fast.

3) The size of the leather on the guide groove of the belt machine is too long or too wide, resulting in excessive friction of the leather on the tape and too fast wear.

4) The damage caused by the particle size and composition of the material transported by the tape affects the wear of the tape.

5) The roller of belt machine can not operate normally more, forming the belt wear too fast, the upper roller makes the non-working face wear fast, the lower roller makes the working face wear fast.

02. Reasons for abnormal wear of material belt

1) When the belt passes through the drum, there is relatively serious sliding friction between the belt and the drum, which is called slipping.  Skidding does not necessarily exist in the driving drum, but the driving drum has the largest damage to the tape, is also the most formed.

2) The direct reason for the belt slipping on the driving drum is that the friction between the driving drum and the belt is not enough to drive the belt to operate normally.  Here's why:

(1) The weight of materials transported on the belt is seriously overloaded;

(2) The belt machine as a whole has problems, the tape is stuck at a certain point;

The driving drum Angle is damaged.
